Our brand-new hotel, The Westin Raleigh-Durham Airport has an opportunity for an experienced Line Expediter to assist our F&B department in our IL FALO WOODFIRE KITCHEN Restaurant. Weekend availability is a must.

Job Duties:

  • Setup and the breakdown of the expo station on the Rye Kitchen Line, including not limited to, the breakdown of buffet on the weekends or weekdays, setup of plates, garnishes, serving ware/disposable to-go items and tape rolls for printers.
  • Everyday refreshes all garnishments chosen for each dish (chives, parsley, microgreens)
  • During off times the Expediter will be responsible for small prep such as peeling potatoes, carrots, and onions but not limited to the needs of the kitchen.
  • The expediter will be responsible for the sanitation and cleanliness of the expo area. This includes washing, sanitizing, mopping and organizing all items, cabinets, station tables and floors.
  • The expediter will be responsible for food leaving the kitchen in a timely manner 12 minutes or under for lunch and 20 minutes and under for dinner. The expediter should be able to acknowledge single diners, bar tickets, room service and to go orders and manage their times according to the SOP.
  • The Expediter will be responsible for knowing all table numbers and the restaurant set up for the given day or time of service. The expediter should be able to run food when needed or service deems it necessary.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous hospitality and food service experience is a must.
  • MUST be friendly, outgoing, and willing to engage guests in conversation.
  • Strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.
  • Clean background check, and reliable transportation a must.
  • Ability to lift, pull and push moderate weight is necessary.
  • Knowledge of the use of commercial kitchen equipment/Turbo Chef.
  • Ability to handle comments and suggestions.
  • ServSafe certified a plus.
