Guest Service Representative - SpringHill Suites Durham-Chapel Hill

Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Full Time Guest Service Representative to join our team at the SpringHill Suites Durham-Chapel Hill. In this role, you will be the face of our hotel, responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests throughout their stay. Your primary focus will be to ensure guest satisfaction by addressing their needs and resolving any concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Candidate must have open availability, shifts consist of 7a-3p and 3p-11p with weekends included.

Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests to the hotel in a warm and friendly manner, ensuring a smooth check-in process
- Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions to guests
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any complaints or issues promptly and courteously
- Assist guests with luggage, transportation arrangements, and other requests as needed
- Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure guest requests are fulfilled in a timely manner
- Process guest payments and maintain accurate financial records
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Collaborate with team members to achieve department and hotel goals
- Stay up-to-date with hotel policies, procedures, and promotions
- Demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional service and exceeding guest expectations


Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a customer service role preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with hotel reservation systems is a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
