Cluster Sales & Events Manager-CMC Hotels

CMC Hotels seeks a Cluster Sales Manager who wants to grow with our expanding portfolio of hotels, owned and operated by CMC Hotels. Our properties lead the market, consistently exceeding expectations of hospitality.

As a key member of the sales team, the Cluster Sales & Events Manager has influence and accountability for the revenue generation of more than one property across different brands. The Cluster Sales & Events Manager is responsible for maximizing revenues in group sales, catering and assigned group segments through reactive sales, account management and executing assigned action plans and following CMC Hotels Sales/Catering Policies and Procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, the Cluster Sales & Events Manager will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of competencies to help the properties achieve their business goals.
  • Responsible for sales and revenue generation for segments assigned by the VP S&M,
  • Must have a good understanding of the brands we represent and be up to date on new sales initiatives and the ability to sell and make recommendations across properties.
  • Must have exceptional telephone skills in order to identify, analyze, build rapport and understand clients’ goals.
  • Must be able to promptly and accurately qualify incoming sales leads.
  • Must be able to prepare and send proposals and contracts within the timeframe established by the VP S&M.
  • Understand the content reflected in contracts and how to negotiate terms therein.
  • Must understand the overall set up and implementation of events and meetings to assist clients with event planning.
  • Communicate with relevant departments to ensure guest’s satisfaction through accurate Banquet Event Orders.
  • Responsible for issuing accurate menus, pricing and technology in coordinate with VP S&M/DOSM/GM/F&B Manager, when applicable.
  • Responsible to meet budgeted meeting room, catering revenues and other assigned segments.

Requirements:

  • Must have exceptional people skills with the ability to build trust and relations.
  • Must be able to qualify potential clients and be willing to ask questions and negotiate when necessary while selling hotel's amenities.
  • Must have a knowledge of food and beverage etiquette, service standards, food preparation and presentation of foods and beverage items.
  • Hotel Sales experience preferred
  • CITY, MARSHA, LightSpeed and/or Delphi systems knowledge a plus.
  • Previous brand experience preferred (Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton)
  • Market Knowledge of the Cary/Raleigh RTP area a plus
  • Driven and Goal Oriented.
  • Must have exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • College Degree Preferred.
