Job Description: Responsible for the overall operations of the kitchen and front of the house ensuring all standards and policies are enforced, to include food safety and regulations

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Be a leader in all aspects – lead by example, by being proactive, by seizing all opportunities for growth both as leaders and departments.
  • Maintain a satisfaction scores for Restaurant Experience.
  • Work closely with executive chef and leadership in the creation and merchandising of attractive menu designs to attract a predetermined customer market.
  • Implement effective controls of food, beverage and labor costs among all departments and monitor the food and beverage budget to ensure efficient operation and that expenditures stay within budget limitations, including achieving budgeted revenue and labor expenses.
  • Hire, train, supervise, develop, discipline and counsel team members according to policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.
  • Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics which inspire team members to meet and exceed.
  • Order and purchase equipment and supplies.
  • Continuously evaluate the performance and encourage improvement of the associates in the Restaurant. Plan and administer a training and development program within the department which will provide well trained associate at all levels.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Handle cash and payment procedures in such a way as to protect revenues and operating costs of the hotel.
  • Open Table/Reservation Platform
  • POS/Micros reporting and adjustments
  • Attend mandatory meetings including daily huddles up and weekly/monthly staff meetings, etc.
  • Lead a minimum of 2 “Daily Huddles” each week.
  • Operate with a sales mindset in regard to promoting the restaurant.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Associates degree, plus 4 years work related experience
  • Minimum 2 years Restaurant General Management experience
  • Experience with Open Table and Micros a must.
  • Previous experience working in a modern casual Italian restaurant a plus.
  • Be self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.
  • Strong Leadership abilities and organizational skills, able to think outside the box.
  • Clean background check, and reliable transportation a must
  • Must possess solid basic accounting and math skills, be comfortable with computers and have excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Operate traditional software programs such as Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint and/or Outlook Express
  • Understand using social media platforms.
  • Previous experience in a Hotel Bar/Restaurant setting is highly desired.
