CMC Hotels is seeking a dependable, motivated, and hands-on Preventative Maintenance Technician to join our hotel maintenance team!

The Preventative Maintenance Technician will focus primarily on our General Clean & Preventative Maintenance (GCPM) Program, ensuring guest rooms, equipment, and hotel facilities are properly maintained, clean, safe, and in excellent working condition.

What You'll Do

• Perform scheduled General Clean & Preventative Maintenance (GCPM) inspections and complete assigned maintenance tasks in guest rooms.

• Conduct detailed cleaning of guestroom equipment, fixtures, vents, filters, and other areas as outlined in the GCPM Program.

• Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs, including painting, caulking, patching walls, replacing light bulbs, and adjusting or repairing fixtures.

• Inspect and maintain basic plumbing fixtures, drains, toilets, faucets, and other guestroom components.

• Clean and maintain HVAC filters, vents, and accessible equipment components as directed.

• Inspect guestroom furniture, doors, locks, lighting, and equipment for proper operation.

• Identify maintenance concerns and report repairs requiring advanced technical skills to the Chief Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor.

• Assist with general cleaning and upkeep of hotel equipment, storage areas, maintenance spaces, and public areas.

• Maintain accurate records of completed GCPM inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance activities.

• Follow all hotel safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Assist the maintenance team with other property projects and assignments as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Basic knowledge of general maintenance, including minor plumbing, painting, carpentry, and simple repairs.

• Comfortable using basic hand tools and maintenance equipment.

• Strong attention to detail and pride in completing quality work.

• Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and complete assigned tasks efficiently.

• Dependable, organized, and willing to learn new skills.

• Positive attitude and willingness to support fellow team members.

• Previous hotel maintenance, apartment maintenance, general labor, or handyman experience is a plus, but not required.

• No advanced maintenance certifications or specialized technical experience required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform hands-on maintenance tasks throughout the workday.

• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with assistance when needed.

• Ability to safely use ladders, hand tools, and basic maintenance equipment.

• Ability to work in guest rooms, public areas, and maintenance spaces while following established safety procedures.
